How Payments Will Be Processed
On the payment date for each grant category, SASSA will transfer funds directly to the beneficiaries’ chosen payment channels as per their selection. This could be through bank accounts, Postbank cards, retail stores, or cash-send money points. It is strongly advised that beneficiaries do not hurry to take their money out right after it has been credited, as the funds are kept secure and accessible even after the payment day. SRD R370 Grant Follows a Different Cycle
While the confirmed early dates for permanent social grants are in December, the SRD R370 Grant does not follow a set payment schedule. The payments, rather, are based on the verification checks which are done monthly, these include checking one’s identity, UIF and bank account. Consequently, SRD beneficiaries may find their payments coming in late December, usually over the last two weeks of the month. Therefore, to receive the notices, the recipients will need to check their application status on the SASSA SRD website periodically.
